A fantastic and lovely antique 19th century circa 1880 Colombian emerald and diamond cluster ring that is crafted in 18 karat yellow and white gold. The large cabochon cut emerald exhibits a superb intense green hue and very saturated color that is typical for the Colombian emeralds Muzo mine. The emerald has a great VS clarity for a Type III gemstone and is a large cabochon piece measuring 8.7x7x5mm with an estimated weight of about 2.25 carats. The emerald is surrounded by a cluster of 10 round old European diamonds having an average diameter of 3.5mm each and total estimated weight of 1.50 carats. All diamonds show a perfect H white color and average VS2/SI1 clarity. The oval top of the ring measures 15.5x13mm and gross weight is 3.2 grams in 18K gold. The ring size is 55 (US size 7.25 / UK size O), but can easily be resized. Scarce antique jewelry collector piece and one of the very nice and lovely Victorian era Colombian emeralds rings and jewels.
