See scan - absolutely perfect condition for this Edwardian period diamond jewel. This is a nice and scarce large and heavy Imperial Russian gold and diamond pendant locket made by St. Petersburg workmaster Rudolf Weide of Austrian descent who also did commissioned pieces for the Faberge firm in the 1908-1917 period. The pendant has an intricate Art Nouveau motif with floral and leaf yellow gold scrolls attached to the red gold base of the locket. The particular scroll that holds the large diamond is only being held by the larger leaf on top thus making it look similar to the early antique jewelry 'en tremblant' jewels and settings. The centerpiece diamond is superb brilliant cut with an excellent F-G color and VS2 clarity and approximate weight of 1.5 carats. The diamond measures 6.8mm by 6.6mm and is about 4mm deap. The pendant is marked at its reverse with '56' Imperial Russian gold standart mark, as well as Rudolf Weide maker's mark 'R.W' in Russian Cyrillic letters. There is also a mark at the inside with the small Emperor's head in a circle. The gold hook also appered to have been hallmarked, but the marks are no longer readable. The piece is in absolutely perfect condition without any restorations and we give LIFETIME GUARANTEE for its authenticity. The whole locket pendant measures 42mm x 27mm and is 6mm thick (without hook at top). Net weight of this magnificent jewel is 16 grams of gold.
